Sakagura, and summers in London…. What do you like to eat in summers? Are you a walk around with an ice-cream kind of person or a sit down with a cold beer and lavish your palette with barbecued meats?
We’ve heard the rumours that Sakagura had the ultimate Japanese Barbecue Menu in town, so we had to try. Here’s how it went:
Only in Mayfair
Sakagura is located in Mayfair. That should say it all about the type of quality and service you can expect.
We went with a friend, she’s dined there before and said they make the best Waygu steak she’s ever tried. It was a warm evening and I really wanted an al fresco kind of dining, quiet and sophisticated.
Sakagura – The Yakiniku Barbecue Menu
The menu is, what you’d expect from a chef like Gordon Ramsey. No wonder the head Chef at Sakagura, Jin Yackshin, who created this menu, is part of the Gordon Ramsey Group.
The menu has personality and makes a statement. It’s a Japanese dining experience, a melody of flavours, texture, presentation and class.
We ate from the A La Carte Dinner Menu, but I’m already planning a visit again, to try their lunch.
I had Japanese Wagyu Sirloin (medium rare, of course) with eryngii mushroom, asparagus and steamed white koshihikari rice.
